Good Practice

Are you a practitioner in the field of literacy?
Do you want to inspire change? Do you want to inspire progress?

Raising literacy levels in Europe by helping improve literacy policies – this is our objective at ELINET. If we want to inspire change in literacy policies, we need to build on the dedicated work concepts already put in place by literacy professionals in schools, libraries, or volunteer organisations. This is why we need your expertise.

If you are interested in sharing a sample of your work with a European audience, the ELINET website will be a prominent place to promote your good practice on a Europe-wide scale.
We are actively looking for projects, programmes or policies across all age-groups: children (0- 10 or 12 year-olds), adolescents (10/12-18 year-olds) and adults (16-65 year-olds).

We are eager to learn about examples of good practices with one of the following aims proposed by the EU High Level Group Report of Experts on Literacy :

  • Creating a literate environment
  • Improving the quality of teaching
  • Increasing participation, inclusion and equity.

ELINET is particularly concerned with disadvantaged and struggling readers and writers.

By giving us an insight into the wealth of effective literacy projects, programmes or policies already in place, you will help contribute to the Framework of Good Policy Practice developed by ELINET.
You can submit your Good Practice examples via our online form. After having successfully passed a peer-review process, your good practice examples will be published on the ELINET website.

You will find more detailed information on relevant policy areas in the PDF below. Please note that by submitting your proposal for a good practice example, you agree to peer-review and, if given, online publication of your good practice example.
